FDA publishes draft guidance on duration of use of antibiotics in feed

The U.S. FDA has published new draft guidance to provide recommendations on how animal drug suppliers may establish a defined duration for certain approved “medically important” antimicrobial animal drugs.

The new guidance, #273, aims to better target when and for how long a drug may be used to treat, control or prevent disease.
